Me.
Anna Benbrook is a seasoned communications and digital strategy professional with over a decade of experience in leadership, content strategy, digital design, and health communication. She currently serves as a Senior Manager at ICF Next, where she leads information architecture and supports UI/UX design for government clients, ensuring alignment with global accessibility standards and brand guidelines. Her responsibilities include sprint planning, managing design workflows, and conducting both internal and client-facing design reviews. She has also led the organization and publication of digital content, developed Drupal-based website pages, and spearheaded enhancements in taxonomy, sitemaps, and overall content structure.
Anna’s background blends creative design with public health expertise. As a freelance designer, she has delivered full lifecycle website development and creative services for clients such as Canopy Mental Health & Consulting, Canopy Roots, and the former Mayor of Denver. Her freelance portfolio includes branding and logo design, social media strategy, print and digital collateral, web design, LMS modules, well as photography and motion graphics, supporting institutions like Emory University School of Medicine, UNC Charlotte, and the University of Kentucky.
She brings a strong academic foundation to her work, holding an M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communication and an M.S. in Health Education and Behavior. A Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), Anna is skilled at applying health behavior theory within communication and marketing frameworks. Her work has spanned managing public health communication strategies, developing educational tools, and implementing and evaluating health education programs for organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), and the Gilead COMPASS Initiative.
Anna’s leadership extends to strategic media relations and public engagement through her work in public relations with Atlanta Roller Derby, where she further sharpened her skills in storytelling, community outreach, and brand communication.
